01  From Broadcast Newsroom to Strategic Storytelling

Katy began her career in broadcast journalism as a television news anchor and reporter, learning firsthand how newsrooms identify stories that matter. That experience shaped her instinct for what captures a reporter’s attention and what audiences care about most. Today, she brings that newsroom perspective into public relations and media relations strategy, helping organizations craft stories that are timely, credible, and worth covering.

02  Healthcare Communications and Crisis Leadership

After transitioning into healthcare communications and marketing, Katy partnered with leadership teams to build thought leadership across earned media, speaking engagements, digital platforms, and industry recognition. Her experience includes crisis communication leadership during natural disasters, global pandemics, and high-profile legal situations, ensuring the deployment of clear, trusted messaging when the stakes were high. 

03  Leading Faith-Based Brand and Community Communications

Most recently, Katy served as communications director for a large faith-based organization in North Texas, where she led a major brand and communications transformation initiative. She strengthened internal and external digital communications, expanded storytelling efforts, and helped connect a historic institution with a broader modern audience. The work reinforced her belief that purpose-driven organizations have the most powerful stories to tell.
